A cable clip holds a single cable, or a small bundle, exactly where it has to run. The part number is decided by two things only: the diameter of what you are holding, and the surface you are sticking it to. Everything else follows.

Thirteen part numbers, round cable from 5.5 to 25.4 mm, flat cable, side entry and adjustable versions. Packs of 100, natural or black, six adhesives to choose from.

Which clip do you need

1. Round cable: what diameter

Cable diameter
Part number
Family

up to 5.5 mm
1038
round cable

7.9 to 10.3 mm
1051
adjustable

up to 11.5 mm
1039
round cable

10.0 to 12.5 mm
1052
adjustable

12.65 to 15.4 mm
1053
adjustable

up to 18.0 mm
1041
R-type, for bundles

16.5 to 20.1 mm
1054
adjustable

22.5 to 25.4 mm
1055
adjustable

2. Flat cable or side entry

Cable opening
Part number
Family

slot 9.0 by 2.8 mm
1031
side entry

slot 11.3 by 2.8 mm
1032
side entry

7.0 mm, 20 mm base
2514
flat cable

7.0 mm, 25 mm base
2515
flat cable

7.0 mm, 30 mm base
2516
flat cable

Side entry clips let the cable in from the side once the clip is already stuck down, so you do not have to thread the cable through: on a finished harness that is the difference between a five second job and taking the connector off.

3. Which adhesive

The last two letters of the part number are the adhesive, and this is the choice that decides whether the clip is still there in two years.

Adhesive
Code
Service temperature
Character

Standard
AS
-30 to +60 °C
Rubber based, Easy-Peel system, fast to apply

Special
AP
-40 to +60 °C
Rubber based, high hold, no liner

Standard acrylic
CS
-40 to +100 °C
Acrylic, Easy-Peel, good hold when hot

Special acrylic
CX
-30 to +90 °C
Special acrylic, high hold values

High performance
CP
-40 to +105 °C
Reaches full strength 24 hours after application

The criterion almost nobody uses is not the maximum temperature, it is how long the bond holds under a continuous load. We compared them with the data sheet figures and with our own tensile tests in the guide to choosing the double-sided tape.

Adhesive cable clips and clamps | AGSPLAST

<meta name="description" content="Adhesive cable clips for round cable from 5.5 to 25.4 mm, flat cable, side entry and adjustable.
